GSSG offers nondegree training courses led by a community of local and global entrepreneurs, business, and community development advisors. These courses will provide the foundation, structure and launching platform for the future of business and commerce here in Star Valley Wyoming.

GSSG will provide its courses through an interactive in-person and digital learning environment. There are 3 courses focusing on entrepreneur foundation, structure, and graduate strategies. A certificate of completion will be awarded at completion of the course.

Foundation Strategy Course
(12 weeks)

The initial 12-week course if offered at no cost for this first group of Participants.

Join us as we begin the 1st (of 3) youth & family Entrepreneur Technical Training Courses

We will be in different In-person locations throughout the valley over the course of 16 weeks to give everyone across the valley the opportunity to experience in person learning.

A meeting location schedule will be provided.

Our first 4 meetings will be at the Afton Town Hall, all meetings will have an online stream available, but in-person attendance is strongly encouraged.

What this training course covers

This in-person and online training will equip you with fundamental tools and knowledge to manifest dreams of innovation and entrepreneurship in the ecosystem around you.  Over the 12 week Foundation Strategy Course you will learn core concepts and applications including Process, Metrics, Value, Communication, Culture/Identity and Proof of Concept or Principle.

A Community and Beyond Collaboration
Guiding Star Strategy Group is bringing together Star Valleys Community of Advisors (and beyond) to the critical infrastructure necessary to support our local economic ecosystem.  These Advisor will provide valuable insight to Policy, Finance, Culture, Support, Human Capital and Markets.  All collaborating to invest in the youth of Star Valley and their vision for the future. 

Course Overview-Module 1

Process must start with a vision or an idea.  We will learn skills that will identify a need and what it will take to create an Invention, Service, Product or Resource that will fill that need.  We will learn the basic principles of market research, how to identify a customer, how to write and present a business plan, funding, location, and what is in a name.  Through the following disciplines

Communication is a key focus of business and must have clear process structure.  In this module we will go over and identify ways we communicate (how to) and maintain accountability through communication.

Proof of Concept or Principle module is
the conclusion to the Foundation Strategy Course and begins to prepare us to build our business ideas in the Structure Strategy Course.  We will begin to apply our collective learning toward vetting out business ideas we have been collecting from each participant in the Foundation Course.  We will run them through these filters.
